Needed – New Treasurer

At the AGM 13th August Nina stepped down as treasurer but unfortunately no one has come forth to take over the position.

Nina has kindly agreed to continue on an  interim  basis  until  1st  November when she is going away on an extended holiday and no longer will be able to do the job as treasurer.

The   task   is   not   an   onerous   one. Someone with flair for numbers and basis computer skills will be able to do the job without any problems. Nina is on  hand  to  provide  the  new  treasurer with a throughout handover and advice. The committee can also provide support and help to the role.

It is vital for the Association to have a treasurer  so  please  consider  if  this  is how you can contribute to the Association and, if so, please contact Nina on 9245 8768 with your nomination, questions or queries.

Nordic House News

Thank you to the members who came to the AGM 13th August. It was a lovely afternoon shared.

A date for the Swedish Club Christmas Bazaar has yet to be set.

Sunday 21st August was the date set for our busy bee. The weather was not particularly friendly but some garden work and general house work was completed. Thank you to the members who turned up to help.

Please note that all future credit card payments will be subject to a surcharge of 2% to cover bank fees.

Your library is looking good after its overhaul and it is ready and waiting for you to use it.

Quiz Night in November

Niels and Lyn Dahl did such a fantastic job at organising our quiz night in July that by popular demand they have agreed to organise another for us on 19th November.

Get together and arrange a table of bright heads and bring along some wine and table snacks to keep your strength up during the many rounds of awesome questions to test your general knowledge as well as your knowledge about cultural, history, geography etc. See you there.

Cost will be $50 per person, one drink included in the price, $25 for Children (4-13 inclusive) and $ 55 for non-members.
